The Edison Gardens kids enjoyed a picnic lunch and a visit to Potawatomi Zoo on Sunday, July 15! We had 52 total attendees, plus several infants with parents!! This number included 35 guests, and 17 volunteers. Dean and I would like to thank everyone who spent their Sunday afternoon with us at the Zoo.

Stephanie Lancione, from GCC’s OPA, led us in song; while SCK volunteers set up the picnic tables. We served fried chicken, and several different side dishes, for lunch. The kids had a great time feeding the always hungry fish at the Zoo! Upon returning to Edison Gardens, we passed out Build-A-Bear birthday gift cards to seven children who were celebrating a birthday in July; and also sent home leftover bags of fried chicken with the kids.
